Cruise Ship in Halifax Harbour

Yes, this Saturday we do have an other Cruise Ship arrive in our Port it is the Maasdam from the Holland America Line with a passenger capacity of 1266 people. It will be towering over the Pier Buildings and disembark a lot of visitors. Great start to the tourist season.
In the meantime, the response to Hal Jones' Sports Art has been keeping up, even if the Canad Games are a distant memory.
The Marathon Runners are gearing up for the Blue Nose Marathon and a lot of them are out there practicing, watch out for them when you are driving please. The Print is also getting great response and  now, that I have fixed my e-mail address you can contact me, Silvia, at silvias_publishing@yahoo.ca for inquiries or purchase.
Of course I will be at the Halifax Seaport Farmers Market again this Saturday and Sunday and would love to
see you there and talk to you.
see you there and talk to you.
An other great endorsement of Hal Jones' Squash Print from Alan Fox, former president of US Squash.
"That print is one of the most striking, and prettiest pieces of art, I have ever seen in relation to our game."

And here are a couple more pictures from the market, my view out of my "Office"

Easter weekend in Halifax

Hello everybody,
This is good Friday and the sun is shining in Halifax.
Winter has been trying to last as long as possible, but I am sure it is on it's way out.
Our thoughts are with all of you out there in Manitoba and Saskachawan that have to worry about the Red River Flood and all the other flooding going on. Spring is not that great to you.
The Sailboats at the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron are slowly readied for an other season and at the Frog Pond we've seen some baby ducklings and Hal has seen a couple of turtles sunning on a rock.
The deer are nibbling away at our tulips and and Azaleas, but we love having them here.
Last night we had a great meal at the Bicicle Thief a great restaurant at the Halifax Water Front.
I will be at the Halifax Seaport Farmers Market this Saturday, but will not be there on Easter Sunday.
Here are some pictures from past week ends at the Seaport Farmers Market

Salut to the Boston Marathon Runners

This is the weekend of the Boston Marathon. Congratulations to all participants!!! It is quiet an achievement to qualify for that run.
Just in time, Hal Jones  has finished his newest painting "The Marathon Runners" and I could not wait to share it with you.

Here it is
                                                               "The Marathon Runners"

We now offer it as a 8"x10" Limited edition out of 99, this means there were only 99 images printed and they are signed and numbered by Hal.
The really special thing about this print is, that we can personalize it for you and have Hal insert your Starter Number in the Bib. Of course it would be very special for the Blue Nose Marathon, as the Halifax town clock is in the Background.
Come and see it at the Halifax Seaport Market this week end. Or e-mail me if you have any questions at silvias_publishing@yahoo.ca

Rainy Day in Halifax

Good morning everybody.
Time is just flying by and spring is on the horizon. It is time to start thinking of the garden and all the beautiful flowers we will have this summer.
At the Halifax Seaport farmers Market, things are looking up and are getting busier.
This weekend will mark the arrival of the first Cruise ship of the season The Princess Danae of the World Cruises with 690 passenger Capacity. It will be in port for Saturday and Sunday, so we will see if we get to meet any of the visitors. I am looking forward to it.
The fog is obscuring the view of Purcell's cove right now, but I have seen quiet a few sailboats out there already. May signs of spring.
Hal is working very hard on a new painting for me. It is of a number of  (marathon-) runners with the Halifax town Clock in the background. It looks great and I can't  wait for it to be finished.
We will produce a limited edition of it and I will have it for you at the Market and it will be ready before the Blue Nose Marathon.

Here is an other of Hal Jones' paintings, enjoy!!!!
